Kamuzu Kassa, born in Beklo Segno, Wolayita, is an award-winning Ethiopian composer, producer, and songwriter who has redefined the soundscape of Ethiopian pop. Starting his journey in church music, Kamuzu’s passion for composition led him to launch Shakura Studio, where he pioneered genre-blending tracks that fuse traditional Southern rhythms with R&B, Afrobeat, and reggae.

Over the past decade, Kamuzu has composed more than 2,000 songs for top Ethiopian artists, earning honors from the Ministry of Culture and major music award bodies. His sound is a celebration of cultural heritage—vibrant, soulful, and rooted in authenticity.
